Services Skin Resurfacing
A targeted way to address deeper texture concerns — acne scarring, uneven texture, fine lines — using controlled resurfacing technology chosen for what your skin actually needs.

Skin resurfacing is a broad term for treatments that work on the skin’s texture at a deeper level — removing or remodeling the outer layers, or stimulating collagen renewal beneath the surface, to improve tone, texture, scarring, and fine lines over time.
We already offer chemical peels and microneedling as two specific ways to work on skin texture, and resurfacing is closely related. What sets it apart is that it uses controlled, targeted technology — delivered via our Nordlys platform’s laser mode — to reach deeper texture concerns like acne scarring or more stubborn unevenness that may call for a different approach than a peel or microneedling alone. It’s not a replacement for either; it’s another tool in the same toolbox. (Nordlys’s other mode, IPL, is what powers our IPL photo facials for sun damage and redness.)
Because there’s real overlap between peels, microneedling, and resurfacing, a consultation is where we figure out which one (or which combination) actually fits your skin, your goals, and how much downtime you’re comfortable with.

Resurfacing tends to be the right call for deeper, more stubborn texture concerns — here’s where it helps most.

Resurfacing works on deeper textural irregularities left behind by acne, where a peel alone may not reach.

Your provider works over the treatment area using controlled resurfacing technology, with the intensity set for your skin and goals. Session length varies with the size of the area and depth of treatment.

Results: Build over timeA chemical peel uses an acid solution to remove the outer layer of skin. Resurfacing uses controlled, targeted technology instead, and is often chosen when a concern — like acne scarring or more stubborn texture — calls for a different approach than a peel can offer. We’ll help you figure out which one (or both) fits your skin.
Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries to stimulate collagen from within, without removing the surface layer. Resurfacing works on the skin’s surface and texture more directly. Both can be part of the same overall plan, depending on your goals.

It depends on your skin and your goals — some concerns respond well to a single session, while others benefit from a series. We’ll recommend a plan tailored to what we see at your consultation.
Resurfacing is most often used for acne scarring, uneven texture, fine lines, and sun-damaged tone — especially concerns that run a bit deeper than a peel or microneedling alone tends to address.
Yes — resurfacing is often layered into a broader plan alongside peels, microneedling, or other treatments. We’ll help you sequence everything appropriately so your skin has time to heal between sessions.
